ECSS Newsletter - June 5, 2026

Dear Families,

As we move into the second week of June, we are approaching the final stretch of the school year. This is an important time for all students to stay focused and finish strong both academically and socially.

We continue to emphasize the importance of making good decisions each day. We ask students to be mindful of their words and actions, recognizing that language has a powerful impact on others. Hurtful or unkind words can cause lasting harm, and we encourage everyone to choose kindness, empathy, and respect in all interactions.

As we approach exam season, please note that all students are expected to write their exams on the scheduled dates. We appreciate your support in helping ensure students are present, prepared, and ready to do their best.

Additionally, if your child will not be returning to Emily Carr next school year, we kindly ask that you inform the school as soon as possible. This information is important for our planning and organization.

GOAL

The school community came together on our brand-new turf field to create history, capturing our first-ever rooftop aerial photo on the new field - carrying on an Emily Carr Secondary School tradition. This year’s word was GOAL: celebrating a new field, a renewed tradition, and a shared focus on looking ahead.
